Extractions and Oral Surgery
Lexington Dentist
In planning your dental treatment or in response to a dental emergency, routine tooth extractions may be necessary. Depending on your particular needs, it is not always necessary to go to a specialist, an oral surgeon, as we can perform many routine oral surgery treatments in our Lexington KY dental practice. This saves you the time, hassle, and increased fee associated with going to an oral surgeon.
The dental surgeries performed in our office include:
- Routine tooth extractions
- Wisdom tooth (third molar) extractions
- Tooth extractions for dentures
- Bone shaping for dentures
- Oral surgery biopsies
No matter the surgery, we want to make your experience as most comfortable as possible and we offer several types of anesthesia. In most cases, patients undergoing tooth extractions remain sore for just one or two days following. We take all possible precautions to avoid “dry socket” which occurs when a clot is lost following initial healing of a tooth extraction.
Dr. Kress says
Oral surgery that can be completed in our practice will save you time and money. Most of our patients require just a day to recover from routine extractions and surgeries.
